One of the reasons that STNS is a happy and successful school is that our parents give so much of their time, talent and energy to the school. We have a wide variety of ways for interested parents to become involved:
- Classroom Volunteers who assist teachers with a wide variety of tasks, including journaling, one-on-one activities, and “messy” activities such a feet painting.
- Room Parents – each class has a room parent that assists the teacher with organizing parties, coordination of volunteers, and material preparation.
- Parent Council who provide us feedback regarding school programs and events. This group also helps us with new family orientations, teacher support, and they coordinate our fundraising efforts.
- We also have numerous special events throughout the year that we invite parents and families to attend. In addition to class parties throughout the year, we have Cookies with Santa, Parent Coffee Meet-and-Greet, Pumpkin Carving Night, Ornament Workshops, Mother’s Day Teas, School-wide Play Date, and an Ice Cream Social.
